I am a self-taught photographic artist living and working in Ontario, Canada. My background in both science and design has inspired my interest in capturing the beauty and details of the natural world. My photography is a practice and a way of living. The process of creating expressive imagery is an exercise in curiosity and self reflection. As a human living with hearing loss, in a very noisy world, I find peace and inspiration in stillness and solitude. In this practice of noticing, I am most drawn to the scenes that reflect the explorations of my interior life. Currently themes of impermanence, paradox and connection are central to my work. This is always a work in motion, where the concepts and imagery evolve alongside my own personal growth.

I acknowledge the importance of adhering to ethical practices in nature photography, avoiding, as far as is possible and practicable, any interference, habituation, exploitation and cruelty to animals and/or their habitats. I would also like to acknowledge my gratitude and appreciation for being able to live and work on traditional Indigenous territories. The majority of my photographs are taken on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, who have been living and working on this land from time immemorial.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and look at my work. 🌎
